These staves are kind of weird, but the weirdest one have different Req. inherent mods, different dmg type, AND a different Req. That totals to up to 4 different attributes on a stave. Ever seen a fire staff w/ an air Req. and an inherent mod to Illusion and Water? My friend got one in the desert. THAT is weird.

Bloody hell, I'll give you 15k for that! Starting a "weird weapons collection" here. Shocking Plasma Blade is already part of it.

Do you have a screen of that shield?

There's a collector item you can get...
A scroll with 12 energy and 20/20 ENERGY STORAGE.
Energy storage has some spells, but there's relaly no reason you need faster casting on any of them, and recharge is only useful for Ether Renewal, so I thought it was weird because it's so useless...

I have gotten three line staffs for a long time. What exactly do you mean by "these items" and the implecation that this is related to factions or updates?

13-25 dmg
+10% in stance
-2 dmg while in stance
The long bow is the best runners bow I have seen, very handy and when costumized it does more dmg then a not costumized max weapon.

Had these for a while... any suggestions what they could be used for? Or are they merchant food?

Those aren't weird, just unwanted by most everyone. They do exactly what the description says. If you do manage to sell them, make sure you post your prices here.

There is an effort being made to obtain those prices.

On one of my charrie inventories, I have a purple Hale Dead Staff of Pruning ('?' on the 'of'). It deals Earth Damage and has a Domination requirement... I'll screencap it in a bit.

And about that Aegis- Illusionary Weaponry. Distortion is a stance... heck, all the Mantras are stances, too. Just find the right Solo Mesmer.
('d buy it myself if I wasn't dead broke. xD)

Te reason i enquired about the usefulness of these items is because it would be somewhat embarassing in droks selling a 'Staff Wrapping of Pruning". I was wondering if anybody had any insight in to what they might be used for.

I remembered that there were a tonne of plant-monsters in the factions preview... may be worth something then xD.

I don't actually own that item, but I own something similar that makes me think of it. This is just a hypothetical conjecture -- I.E., build the ultimate shield for an IW mesmer.

The item that I own is a 16 AL req. I think 9 tactics shield with +1 Illusion Magic (13%).

Well, pinesouls, salving cacti, and thorn stalkers are going to be the main enemies that the pruning mod is useful for. The problem here is that 1) they occur rather infrequently and 2) moding a staff to do more damage to them isn't really on the priority list due to A) there ease to kill in the first place and B) the fact that most people who use staves have a prefered method of dealing with enemies that isn't staff related, mainly spells.

But, Factions did have what looked like a couple of new plant monsters outside of the city. There are also bound to be some in the forest as well. Don't know for sure if the warriors I saw where plant or spirit.

Now skeletons is a little more usefull mainly for the fact that the FoW has that battlefield full of them on the way to the Book. But again the problem is wether or not someone wielding a staff is going to be directly attacking the skeletons or casting spells at them. And I would argue that given a choice most players will still be going with a different choice of mod anyways.

Still, good luck selling them. Remember to post your prices.

Oh, and on those shields... I don't have that one in particular, but I do have a bunch like it in the monk vein, like a max gold tactics shield with 18 or 19% smiting. If you think those are weird I'll get some pics up.
